She wrote of Lenin’s dedication while Trotsky, she rhapsodised, was ‘a man of wit, and fire and genius, a Napoleon of peace.’ She failed to mention that she had taken both Trotsky and Kamenev as lovers. It was even rumoured that she had slept with Lenin and Felix Dzerzhinsky, head of the feared Cheka (secret police).
