If You Actually Want to Play Games, Get the New Nintendo 2. DS XLThe Nintendo Switch exists, and is a fantastic gaming system that you can, in a pinch, play in a bar, a car, or on the train. Phones exist too, and the games on them are better than ever. So why the hell should you own anything else? Because games. The Switch’s library is still small, and smartphones still lack those games you can get lost in for days.
So if you want a mobile system that can go anywhere and play some of the best games ever designed, you need something from the Nintendo 3. DS family, which despite being seven years old, shows no signs of being at the end of its life any time soon. What is it? A souped up 2. DS that finally folds. Like. It's a perfect blend of price and games.
No Like. The hinge feels a little cheap. There’s have been six 3. DS consoles over the last seven years, each with some flaw that kept it from being the perfect blend of tech and affordability—but the New Nintendo 2. DS XL changes that.
As I write this review you’ll notice I capitalize “New” when talking about the New Nintendo 2. DS XL. That isn’t an affectation on my part. It’s part of Nintendo’s super confusing naming scheme.
The New 2. DS, and the New 3. DS launched back in 2. DS system. It’s not just a new chassis—these systems can play games the original 2. DS and 3. DS cannot, like Xenosaga Chronicles 3. D, or a wide range of SNES games including Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and F- Zero.

There aren’t that many exclusive games, but there are enough good ones that if you already own an older 3. DS system you’re probably wishing you had the new one. The New 2. DS, like the New 3. DS, also has a faster processor, a micro. SD slot for on- console storage, NFC capabilities for all your Amiibos, two new buttons on the shoulders of the device, and a C- Stick analog joystick. This is, in every way, an upgrade over any non- New 2. DS, 3. DS or 3. DS XL you might own.
The New Nintendo 2. DS XL isn’t just an update to the ugly old 2. DS that looked more like a bargain bin knock off than a system from the company that created mobile gaming. With the new device, Nintendo ditches the 2. DS’s ugly slab design to mimic the folding design of every other 3. Dragonheart Online Putlocker.

DS. At $1. 50, it’s $7. DS and a full $6. New Nintendo 3. DS XL (the 3. DS XL doesn’t include a charger, so I added that price to the total). This is now the mid- range mobile console, and unless you really, really like 3. D, it should be the one you buy.
It seems to me that there are three big nuts to crack before people start dropping their cable TV. 1. People need to be able to watch the shows as they happen.
Besides being cheaper than the New 3. DS XL, it’s also much lighter. It weighs 9. 2 ounces—the same as the original 2. DS. The 3. DS XL weights 1. You might not consider that a major difference, but I definitely notice it when I toss the 3. DS into my purse, and I often forget I have the 2.
DS in there. It’s also smaller, folded up, than both of the other consoles currently available in the 3. DS lineup. The slab- like 2.
DS is 5 inches by 5. The New 2. DS XL folds up to 3.
Which is not just significantly more pocketable than its predecessors, it’s also slightly smaller than the 3. DS XL, which folds up to 3. Unlike the original 2. DS, this system isn’t punishing people for hating 3. D or wanting to save money.
It’s the best 3. DS system available, only with a little size and one feature shaved off. It even improves on the New 3. DS XL! That system has two big issues with it: The game cartridge is always visible, and always ugly, and you need a screwdriver and a little patience in order to replace the micro. SD card. The New 2.

DS XL solves both problems by hiding both slots behind a little door on the bottom of the device. But the 2. DS XL is not without a few minor problems. The speakers have been moved from the top half of the device to tiny slots on the bottom that your palms often cover. So when your palms cover the speakers the sound gets muffled, and when they’re uncovered the speakers sound far tinnier. The sliders and hinge feel cheaper too, with the hinge having a little “give” to it (as illustrated to the left). The New 3. DS XL feels positively luxurious beside it. It’s the Lexus to this guy’s really solid Toyota Camry.
As someone who has frequently driven a Camry, I am totally okay with that! The Nintendo 2. DS XL is more than enough machine for me. With the huge choice of fantastic DS, 3. DS, and New 3. DS games on the system, and a brand new Metroid game just a month away, I don’t think this gadget’s gonna be leaving my bag any time soon. If you already own a New 3. DS XL, but never use the 3. D than this might be worth a look, and if you’re upgrading from the original 3.

Ways To Watch Television for Free Without Cable Or Satellite. At my house, basic digital cable TV cost over $6. I watch maybe 1. 0 or 1. I pay for many channels that I have no interest in. With the price of just about everything headed skyward, and paychecks plummeting, paid cable and satellite TV is often one of the first things to go from anyone’s budget.
There are a lot of people who have taken the big step of getting rid of paid TV in their house and reverting back to antennas or no TV at all. Because I often give thought to ditching my cable, especially when my “deal” with Comcast expires, I was curious just how many ways there are that provide the ability to watch your favorite shows free- of- charge one way or another… and there are there a lot! While I cannot vouch for the legality or the quality of all of these websites, here are 3. TV. And while I haven’t tried each and every one of them out for any extended period of time, the first 5 I list are my favorites, to help guide you to some of the ones that work well. I have either given my own opinion of each one or when possible I have taken a blurb from each site’s “About” page to give you a little more info. The good old fashioned antenna. Of course, this all depends on what kind of signal you can get inside your house. In my place here in CO, I can use an HDTV antenna and the channels come in beautifully. But I have lived in other houses where I couldn’t even get snow to show up on the TV (New Mexico, I am looking at you). Antennas mounted on roofs tend to be a lot better at pulling in those free signals, but remember that as of 2. The network websites. ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, etc.
TV. Sure, there are a few ads, but there are ads on cable, too – at least here you aren’t paying to watch the ads. Hulu – Hulu has become a big dog in the world of internet streaming TV. I know a guy who has a Mac Mini hooked up to a projection TV, and his only source of broadcast TV is through Hulu. It looks beautiful on that 1. TV, all free of charge…for now. Hulu does provide a “Plus” account for $1. HD. 4. Justin. TV – Sure, it’s a lot of home web videos, but it’s also a great place to find that elusive game or event that you can’t see at home with an antenna.
People film their own TV sets and broadcast it to the site – enabling you to watch too. Told you I can’t vouch for legalities)5. Share TV – Kinda like Hulu, but they seem to have more video available. Right now they have 1.
The rest…6. Miro – More of a video platform than a bunch of stations, Miro does have a directory of videos you can watch once you download the video player. Free TV Online – Seemingly combining Hulu, You Tube, Facebook, and any viral video you have ever seen, there is a lot here to comb through. Beeline. TV – Through their site, you can watch live TV channels from around the world. Interested in watching a live news feed from Croatia? This would definitely be the site you want to hang out on.
Big. File. TV – Another site full of tv shows and feeds from around the world. OV Guide – From movies, to TV, to anime, games, adult, documentaries, etc – OV Guide has a LOT of programs to stream to your computer. Choose and Watch – Choose. And. Watch is a multimedia portal where you can watch hundreds of online TV channels and videos. You. Tube – I think you know this one already!
PCTV – Another web portal with everything under the sun that you either want to watch or watched at some point in the past. TV Web 3. 60 – Channel categories include News, Business, Entertainment, Music, Movies, Sports, Lifestyle, Educational, Shopping, Cartoons, Weather, Government, Religion and General TV. The web site offers over 1. Web TV channels. 1. Joost – Ever wanted to see Betty White in Calendar Girl?

TV Lizer – TV Lizer is based on a portuguese website called TVTUGA, this is its english international version. WWITV – A portal to watch over 2,8.
Channel Chooser – With more than 1. Tevo. Otv – On this website, you will find movie, news, sports, music channels. They are sorted by their respective country, and are easy to access and view using the top navigation menu. Find Internet TV – Missed the Tour de France? You wouldn’t have if you had known about this site.
Streamick – Based in Russia, these guys have thousands and thousands of streaming video channels for you to watch. Crafty TV – Another portal for channels all over the world. Jump TV – A broadcaster of live and on- demand sports video over the Internet. Flick Peek – You can watch movies, tv shows, cartoons and anime free of charge. Oh, and you can also watch trailers for upcoming new releases. Mevio – A social media- type community, providing access to the best in new media in audio, video, podcasts, and music.
Your Global TV – Seems a little sketchy, but hey – there is a lot here. Free internet TV from all over the world, delivered to your computer. Any TV – Seems to require a download, and isn’t for Mac computers, so I couldn’t test it. Anyone? 3. 4. Spreety – As a television guide for online TV, Spreety provides links to legal entertainment choices, including popular online TV shows, classic TV shows, music videos, news, online sports, and movies online. No Subscription Required – Another “guide” of sorts, there seems to be current in- theatre movies listed here. Again, the legalities are not my responsibility!)3.
Don’t Watch Me – Anyone ever use this one? Seems simple, but I couldn’t get it to work! TVUNetworks – More live TV from around the world. These kind of sites are cool because if you are from another country, you can still feel right at home while watching your hometown news.
Veoh – Seems to be mostly cartoons and short films, but interesting anyway. Cast. TV – Everything and anything, listed alphabetical for easy access. My Easy TV – Anything you want, anytime you want it. And when I say anything, I mean…anything. Free. Tube – Select a genre, and start watching. Easy as pie. 4. 2.
Side. Reel – An entertainment guide and community site for television and film enthusiasts. TV Duck – Like Wikipedia but for TV shows and movies. Links, links, and more links. TV Gorge – Another site that serves as a portal for all things TV.

A. S. H. and I Dream Of Jeanie are on the homepage, if that tells you anything. Clicker – Nothing you can’t find anywhere else, but a nice clean site anyway that leads you to the shows and movies you want to see.
Watvon – Thousands of free Internet television channels and web cameras. You can watch online streaming TV from any country around the world. Select any theme: movie channels, news videos, cartoons streams, live webcams and many other broadcasts such as sports channels, music clips and religious transmissions.
